Seeking to be Like the World

1 Samuel 8:4-5
4 Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah,
5 And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.

My Thoughts
{
There is an undercurrent in the United States to turn from the government that has established for us and seeks to become like other nations with socialism and such.

They are so blinded by the perceived glamor of being international that they can not see the struggles those nations have.

They are so frustrated with our corrupt leaders of our nation that equate that with the constitution.   They are unable to see the corruption in other nations and how that corruption takes away many of the freedoms of those people that the protects for us.
